  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 pie crust, store-bought or homemade
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter and mix in brown sugar and cinnamon. Add apples and cook until softened.
  3. Place the apple mixture into the pie crust.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes.
  5. In another saucepan, whisk together milk, sugar, and cornstarch. Cook over medium heat until thickened.
  6. Stir in vanilla extract and remove from heat.
