Sticky Rice With Mango

  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 ripe mangoes
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the sticky rice until the water runs clear.
  2. Soak the rice in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  3. Steam the soaked rice for about 30 minutes until tender.
  4. In a pot, combine coconut milk, sugar, and salt, and heat until sugar dissolves.
  5. Once the rice is cooked, mix in some of the coconut milk mixture and let it sit for about 30 minutes.
  6. Slice the mangoes and serve them with the sticky rice drizzled with the remaining coconut milk mixture.
  7. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
