- 1 large head of cabbage
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup uncooked rice
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- Chop the cabbage and layer half of it at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, rice, onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper together.
- Form the meat mixture into balls and place them on top of the cabbage in the slow cooker.
- Pour the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes over the meatballs and then layer the remaining cabbage on top.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4 hours, until the meat is cooked through and the rice is tender.

- This recipe can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before cooking.
