- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons brewed coffee
- 1 tablespoon milk
- In a large bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add pumpkin puree, softened butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla to the yeast mixture.
- Gradually stir in flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough and spread with softened butter, then sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
- Place on a baking pan and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F for about 25 minutes.
- For frosting, mix powdered sugar, brewed coffee, and milk until smooth.
- Drizzle over warm rolls and serve.
Notes
- Make sure to use pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling.
- For a richer flavor, use freshly brewed coffee in the frosting.
