  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons brewed coffee
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add pumpkin puree, softened butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla to the yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually stir in flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  6. Roll out the dough and spread with softened butter, then sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
  7. Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
  8. Place on a baking pan and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake at 350°F for about 25 minutes.
  10. For frosting, mix powdered sugar, brewed coffee, and milk until smooth.
  11. Drizzle over warm rolls and serve.

Notes

  • Make sure to use pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling.
  • For a richer flavor, use freshly brewed coffee in the frosting.
