  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture alternating with milk.
  5. Divide the batter in half. Mix cocoa powder into one half.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of both batters into the prepared pan and swirl with a knife.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Allow cooling before serving.

Notes

  • Add chocolate chips for extra chocolate flavor.
  • For a richer taste, use dark chocolate cocoa powder.
