Kani Sushi (Spicy Crab Roll)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sushi rice
  • 2 sheets nori
  • 1/2 pound imitation crab meat
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha
  • 1/4 cup cucumber, julienned
  • 1/4 cup avocado, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Cook sushi rice according to package instructions.
  2. In a bowl, combine imitation crab meat, mayonnaise, and sriracha. Mix well.
  3. Place a sheet of nori on a bamboo mat. Spread a layer of sushi rice over it.
  4. Add a line of the crab mixture, cucumber, and avocado on top of the rice.
  5. Carefully roll the sushi using the bamboo mat, applying gentle pressure.
  6. Slice the roll into bite-sized pieces and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of sriracha to taste for desired spiciness.
  • Serve with soy sauce and pickled ginger.
