A rich and flavorful take on the classic chicken tikka masala, inspired by Gordon Ramsay’s recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken thighs
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken with yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, turmeric, cumin, and coriander for at least 1 hour.
  2. Heat oil in a large pan, add onion, and sauté until golden.
  3. Add garlic and ginger, cooking until fragrant.
  4. Introduce the marinated chicken and cook until browned.
  5. Add crushed tomatoes and simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and adjust seasoning.
  7. Garnish with cilantro before serving.

Notes

  • Soak the chicken for longer for more flavor.
  • Serve with basmati rice or naan.
