- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In another bowl, beat the sugar and butter until creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well.
- Combine the dry ingredients into the wet mixture alternately with the apple cider and bourbon, starting and ending with the dry ingredients.
- Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Glaze with a bourbon icing if desired.
