Festive Bourbon Apple Cider Cake

A delicious and festive cake perfect for the holiday season, combining the flavors of bourbon and apple cider.

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1/4 cup bourbon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, beat the sugar and butter until creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  4. Combine the dry ingredients into the wet mixture alternately with the apple cider and bourbon, starting and ending with the dry ingredients.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let it cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Glaze with a bourbon icing if desired.

Notes

  • This cake can be made a day ahead of time for better flavor.
  • Serve with whipped cream for an extra treat.
