  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  8. Drop the dough by tablespoons onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  10. While the cookies are baking, combine the sweetened condensed milk and additional pecans in a saucepan and cook over low heat until thickened.
  11. Once cookies are cool, drizzle the pecan mixture over them.

Notes

  • For best results, chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
