Crispy Sweet Chilli Chicken

A delightful dish featuring crispy chicken coated in a sweet and spicy chili sauce.

  • 1 pound chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 1/2 cup cornflour
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Begin by cutting the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a bowl, mix the cornflour, flour, salt, and pepper together.
  3. Dip each chicken piece in the flour mixture, followed by the beaten eggs, and then back into the flour mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat and fry the chicken until golden brown and crispy.
  5. In another pan, combine the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, and sesame oil, and heat until bubbling.
  6. Add the crispy chicken to the sauce and toss to coat well.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

  • Serve with steamed rice for a complete meal.
  • Adjust the sweetness of the sauce by adding more or less sweet chili sauce.
