Classic Crockpot Pierogi Casserole with Kielbasa

A delicious and easy recipe for a classic pierogi casserole prepared in a slow cooker, featuring kielbasa for added flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound frozen pierogi
  • 1 pound kielbasa, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Layer half of the frozen pierogi in the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. Add half of the kielbasa and onion on top.
  3. Sprinkle with half of the cheddar cheese.
  4. In a bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Spread half of the soup mixture over the layered ingredients.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the pierogi are cooked through.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider adding chopped bell peppers or spices of your choice.
  • This dish can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator before cooking.
