Classic Bacon Carbonara Pasta

A delicious twist on the classic carbonara, using turkey bacon and chicken ham for a lighter yet flavorful dish.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 4 ounces chicken ham
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve 1 cup of pasta water.
  2. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and chop into pieces.
  3. In the same skillet, add garlic and chicken ham, cooking until heated through.
  4. In a bowl, mix eggs and Parmesan cheese together.
  5. Add the hot spaghetti to the skillet and quickly stir in the egg mixture, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a creamy sauce.
  6. Stir in turkey bacon, salt, pepper, and parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, consider using a mix of regular bacon and turkey bacon.
  • Adjust seasoning according to your taste.
