  • 8 ounces semisweet chocolate, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
  4. Combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well.
  5. Spread the batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. While the brownies are baking, prepare the mousse by whipping the cream and folding in melted chocolate.
  8. Once brownies are cooled, top with the chocolate mousse.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before slicing and serving.
