Cheesymite Scrolls

A delicious and cheesy snack that combines the unique flavor of Vegemite with gooey cheese.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
  • 3/4 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup Vegemite
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the cheese and Vegemite.
  5. Add milk gradually until a soft dough forms.
  6. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and roll it out into a rectangle.
  7. Spread it with more Vegemite and sprinkle with cheese.
  8. Roll it up tightly and slice into scrolls.
  9. Place the scrolls on a baking tray and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
