1 cup unsalted butter
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
8 ounces cream cheese
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt, then fold it into the butter mixture until combined.
In another bowl, beat cream cheese with powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, then spoon dollops of the cream cheese mixture over it.
Pour the remaining brownie batter on top and swirl with a knife.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
