  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 strips turkey bacon
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 1 cup oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet until crispy, then crumble and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to create the sauce.
  3. Dredge the shrimp in cornstarch, shaking off excess.
  4. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Fry the shrimp in batches until golden and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Toss the cooked shrimp in the sauce until evenly coated.
  7. Serve shrimp topped with crumbled turkey bacon.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, fry the shrimp in oil that is hot enough. Use a thermometer to check the temperature.
  • You can adjust the sriracha for more or less heat based on your preference.
