  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups peeled and chopped apples
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a baking sheet.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, then fold in the chopped apples.
  5. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking sheet and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  6. While the cake is baking, prepare the frosting by combining cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon in a bowl and mixing until smooth.
  7. Once the cake is done, let it cool completely before spreading the frosting on top.
